Thank you Adobe Muse!
After subscribing to Adobe's Creative Cloud subscription service and downloading my usual software I came across Adobe Muse.
Muse is a new programme that offers designers the ability to design and build websites without writing a single line of code, yay!
As a designer, what I like about Muse is that it borrows many features from Indesign such as the ability to create master pages and apply paragraph styles to text, even the interface layout is similar to Indesign and Illustrator.
Muse gives you the ability to design websites that work across different platforms such as desktop computers, smart phones and tablets. Creating menus, slideshows and presentations is easy using Widgets, and it is great
to have so much control over text editing, and the ability to download web fonts for free.
As with all of Adobe's software, Muse integrates very well with other Adobe programmes such as Photoshop and Illustrator, in fact you can create graphics in almost any
of the Adobe programmes and import them into Muse, even animation from Edge Animate.
As I first started using Muse I found some very useful video tutorials on the Adobe website and on Lynda.com (see links below). These tutorials really accelerated the learning process for me.
To summerise, Muse is a great, easy to use programme that made building this website an absolute joy. I look forward to seeing many improvements and exciting new features in the years to come. Goodbye Fireworks and Dreamweaver, hello Adobe Muse!
